Guide to Foreigners registration & passport verification

Indian Passport

Police Verification part for issuance of Indian Passport by Regional Passport Office for citizens residing in Ahmedabad City Police Commissionerate jurisdiction is carried out by Passport Section, Special Branch at Police commissioner Office.

Any Citizen wants to apply for Indian passport has to apply through portal for it www.passportindia.gov.in

  • Time / Day for submitting application / obtaining certificate.
  • Monday to Friday except holiday during 15.00 to 17.00 hours.

Police Clearance Certificate (PCC):

PCC is issued by RPO after getting the application verified by local police. For this also applicant has to submit the application at PSK through after applying online on www.passportindia.gov.in

Police Verification Certificate (PVC):

PVC can be obtained by applying for it at Passport Section, Special Branch at Police commissioner Office. One has to apply in prescribed form for PVC along with following documents

  • Residence proof
  • Photo ID proof
  • Document supporting need of PVC
  • Three passport size photographs
  • Copy of passport

After applying the application is verified by local jurisdictional police station of the applicant. After getting clearance PVC is issued. To collect PVC applicant has to come in person to collect it along with original passport.
