    Dear Sir,

Smooth flow of traffic is hindered by parking at every road junctions or rather corners.

    my suggestion:

    1. create red zones by markings on foot paths of at least 20-30 feet on both sides of roads at all junctions where even a temporary stoppage or parking is an offence.

    2. Do not permit any shops to open on corners of road

this will help in smooth flow at all junctions of roads

i hope you shall appreciate and consider implementation.

    THANKING yOU

On the left side near the sign board of No Parking always vehicles nare are allowed to be parked opp Judges Bunglows cross road at Gormoh Restaurant upto Havmor Restaurant, though there is police. Why no action taken by Ahmedabad Traffic Police?

Its Because In Ahmedabad, Traffic Police Considers Breaking of Rule as Normal & No Offense to catch and punish them. Its the reason that Vehicles driven in wrong side of lane passes thru Traffic Police and Police don’t even bother to stop the vehicle. At maximum number of Traffic junctions one will find Traffic Police busy in his Mobile talking to someone, least bother of Mess up in Traffic. There is No Will in police to do good duty……..else better Traffic scenario would have been visible in City.

    Respected Sir/Ma’am,
Really glad that abad city police has taken this initiative to launch online duty for direct contact with the citizens. I, as a citizen, appreciate this step taken. But it seems very sad, to come to know about the ways in which ahmedabad city police is trying to protect its citizens. Ahmedabad is a beautiful city to live in, to earn, but not a great city, to celebrate happiness, success. On the new year’s eve, where people, reputed citizens, who have worked round the year for the betterment of their families and for social well being, they come out at night, at 12 to celebrate with fellow citizens, to celebrate New year, to celebrate Ahmedabad. But its really sad to know that these reputed citizens are shouted at by policemen to rush to their home at 12.15 itself. If some resistance, these policemen try to scare them with lathi charge. Why? Just because they have come out to celebrate without any nuissance. Sometimes we wonder, that are we safe, where in a city, law students are harshly beaten up by policemen, just because the law students asked those policemen for their Identity cards. So, it is rather confusing and seems that do we need someone, to save us from these policemen? The concept of scaring the respected citizens, doesnt digest. The idea to stop some crime before it happens, seems convincing, but the respected citizens, who come from good families are put at great hardship, when they are shouted at and disrespected by such guardians of law and order. I hope necessary reforms are taken, to address this issue. Appreciate this good cause by Ahmedabad city police. Thank You

Hi, I am happy and proud that our Police Department has taken an initiative to connect to the population directly. This will definitely help both of the parties in long run.
I am writing here, to give a suggestion, which I always thought can contribute to Safety and Security. Its related to Night time surveillance done by Cops on various Check posts around the city.
We have seen that cops, tend to maintain a manual register at all these check posts in the night. Whenever they stop a car, they manually write down car reg number, license number, name etc. of the driver.
This method was fine in earlier days, but today it seems to be time consuming, tedious, not greatly effective in terms of record keeping of entire year or 2 years at a stretch,
I believe, in this age of technology, we should slowly and gradually progress towards hand held small laptops/terminals (which have become very cheap) at these check posts for record keeping. These laptops can be connected to main server of Ahmedabad police station. And this laptops can be managed by data operators (employed on contract basis) stationed with police at checkpost.
Like this, it will be useful:
    1. To log the data, and keep it on main server
    2. In case of alert, a flash can come on laptop, which flashes, when a car/person entry is done, which matches with alert.
    3. Data can be looked by all police stations/security department in case of cross checking/emergency.
    4. Employement can increase to data operators
    5. Laptops can be connected, using 3G services/Data dongles. Use of technology will help police department to modernize faster.

These are my suggestions. Ofcourse, the pros and cons can always be worked out at Police Department level, plus the economics analysis.

This was in my mind since long, and this platform seemed to the right interactive platform to give my suggestions, so am suggesting here.

    Regards
    Aditya.

    Hello Sir,

First of all would like to congratulate on the initiative take by Team Gujarat Police.

Have once suggestion in mind do not know that is it possible or not,but just want to share it . We in city face a lot of problem related to safety , security ,traffic and it happens that many a time the team strength is small to control it. can a programme made by team Gujarat police were in a civilian volunteers can be trained as a helping hand .
There has to be a defined process to it , who so ever goes through it has to appear for and assessment of his understanding on duty and rules than only they can be selected.

Do not how much is feasible in the thought but just wanted to share it so have written my thought.

    Regards..

    Hello Sir
I lost my passport on 20/11/2013, I went to Bopal police station to lodge complaint. I was advised that there are no such procedure to register FIR for lost passport, whereas it is compulsory to have FIR to get new passport. I went there 2 times and I was advised by Police Sailesh Patel that if I come again to register FIR they will register, “Bedarkari ni Fariyad” against me. I went there in morning and tried if I can meet Mr Jadeja who is in charge PSI. He told me that, there are no such complaint as lost passport, he rejected even 2-3 more complaints regarding passport before I went there. He will not tolerate me again if I go there again… I finally went to Satellite police station and registered my Complaint for Lost passport with mr B.P. Chavda. I was told that it is long procedure to take complaint for lost passport as they will have to notify all commissions with passport details, that is why Bopal police would have denied to take complaint…
I just thought this will be very helpful if there is proper and correct answers from police station regarding all procedures to follow. I am sure they were expecting some bribe from me as there’s long procedure for them.. Hope there are proper steps taken to remove any misbehaviour from police and misuse of power..

    Thank & Regards

    Dear Sir,

Very nice and appreciable step towards healthy relationship between City Police and Citizens.

I would like to suggest please update http://www.ahmedabadcitypolice.org every day still after transfer of so many cops are changed still the name and number is there so need to change same day while they transfer or move to another place or duty.

Also would like to suggest In mega city like Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara
Rajkot should crate awareness about Cyber Crime, now days cybercrime and cyber security is upmost requirement in nearer future you will face lots of complaints against it so this is the right time to take necessary step towards.

There is terrific problems of traffic near Helmet, Gurukul-Drive-in road.
While traveling on off Drive-in Road (Himalaya Mall to Vastrapur) lots of vehicle park on the road even foot-path there is lots of traffic specially evening time so please take necessary action on shop-owner and guide them to park the car in basement

appreciate if early step will taken

    Thanks and regards,

    Yogesh Patel

Ahmedabad City Police Social connect video is good. I would like to make few point that This service is for City of Ahmedabad’s people only and most of them are speaking only Gujarati. Video should be make in Gujarati Language and Gujarati letters. જો અમદાવાદ સીટી પોલીસ ની વેબસાઈટ પણ ગુજરાતીમાં હોય તો બધા અમદાવાદીઓ વાંચી શકે અને તેનો લાભ ઉઠાવી શકે. I know that to make website or any internet related content in English is very easy and most developer suggest to you also to make in english……But your are mostly serving to GUJARATI language people….without Gujarati website will not reach to every citizen.
Put the all forms in PDF or web fillable form on site to get data. ( eg. Google form)
Put few city traffic camera live stream on your site.( may be traffic dept )

Thanks and congratulation for new site.

I appreciate this initiative taken by ahmedabad police department. It will help to reduce difference between the citizens and police department.
The following initiatives are to be taken:
    1. Police is required to get updated with technology.
    2. They are required to compel obey of traffic rules and not monetary punishment.

    Sir,

I have seen in Bombay that they are allowing share a Taxi/Rickshaw at may centers like from VT to Nariman Point and almost all para Stations. In our Ahmedabad we are allowing overloaded shuttle rickshaw in bulk but not allowing share a rickshaw which runs from certain points and allowing only 3 (Three) passengers only. The routs may be allowed from Vadaj to Kalupur, Vadaj to Lal Darwaja, Sabarmati to Delhi Darwaja, Vadaj to Gota, Vadaj to Paldi, Lal Darwaja to Paldi, Lal Darwaja to Sarkhej etc.by providing Rickshaw Stand at centers for Share a rickshaw basis. The actual fare will be divided among all three passengers.

I appreciate the task started by the Ahmedabad City Police.I respect all the superiors of deptt. My only question is that, what actions are to be taken to remove the Cancer of police department,THE VAHIVATDARS.Every one is well aware of this nuisance. My only suggestion,if Vahivatdar system is removed from all the police stations and other branches,50% of the crime other than property offenses, will be definitely removed from Ahmedabad City.I expect such action from Mr.Shivanad Jha,honorable Commissioner of Police of Ahmedabad City.

I assume drug as first enemy of India. It’s just my few months in Ahmedabad and I knew that where it is easily available. So there is no doubt that Ahmedabad police is not knowing about it. May be on one day your son will be trapped by this addiction and you will understand how disastrous is this. So please stop this.

First of all it is really very nice initiative of Ahmedabad Police Department. I really appreciate it. My suggestions are –

    1. First whole campaign or promotion of this activity must be in Guajarati Language also because most of the people do not know English. They will never come to know about such fantastic service of the Ahmedabad Police Department. Likewise, website site must have Gujarati version also.

    2. Children are the easiest victims of evil called Human Trafficking. They are easy targets for kidnapping, abusing, harassment, labor any many more. The tragedy is that they do not know even if they are suffering from any kind of nuisance. Ahmedabad Police can make a programme to educate all age of children and teach them how they can ask help of Police, if something wrong happening around them.

Only one day in a year – Police Help Education Programme should be launch in all schools of city. And make children aware that how Police can help them. They must teach that they can dial 100 number from any cell phone or land line to ask help. I am sure, you guys must have many more useful tricks to share with children for their own protection.

I am living in Ahmedabad for last seven months. Initially I was very happy to live in one of the countries biggest and fastest growing cities. Also the capital of Garvi Gujarat. But in last seven months, while driving on the streets of the city I have understood this is the worst traffic across the country. Ahmedabad is blessed with best road network which is properly maintained, but has got worst traffic in terms of the commuters. Even smaller cities have better traffic management than Ahmedabad. The biggest issue I found out is people are not afraid of any poilce action, They just blindly park vechiles anywhere, go wrong sides, disobey traffic signals and drive like crazy. This is a clear Failure on the part of police, impotency to implement laws. The biggest offenders to traffic are local vechiles. I suggest to bring in experts from Delhi and Maharshtra and teach Ahmedabad police men how to implement laws. It may sound harsh but it would be highly effective. Above all comments from other users also show that the traffic police is unable to implement the laws by itself, so it needs support from others to do the same. It would be great if we can get some 50-100 traffic cops from Mumbai or Delhi for 6months on the streets of Ahmedabad. It would be a good learning to local cops on law enforcement & it will clearly make a difference.Together we would be making our roads best in the world with commuters with best traffic sense and respect for law.
